More Than a Name
Ancora is a Latin word that has two different meanings depending on its role in a sentence. As a noun, ancora means an anchor -- a device that holds objects firmly in place. As an adverb, it means yet/still/again -- describing continuity or an ongoing situation. At Ancora's Way, we understand that words have power. So, we chose a name that aligns with the guiding principles of this practice.
The Anchor
Growth and healing require you to have a strong, safe, and steady foundation. When you are anchored in your environment, and in yourself, you can withstand even the greatest storms. We create a space where every part of you is safe.
The Journey
Growth is a lifelong process of becoming. Even if you haven't fully stepped into yourself yet, you can still return to who you are over and over again-- staying true to yourself even as the world changes around you.
